HELP!! AXLE problem .....real problem...not axle removal question
hey wsup yall.... i have a tech question for all the experts out there. i searched but i couldnt find anything.
i recently bought a 90 2.0 si prelude with a broken passanger side axle. the car is on cut springs with a kit that rides about 2-3 inches above the ground. dude that sold it to me sed he broke the axle while driving and he ran over a metal bar or a thick metal sheet of some kind. my friend works at honda so he got the part we needed and we went to go work on it. after jacking the car up we saw that the cv boot was destroyed and the shaft that goes into the cv boot from the wheel side was dangling.... the part of the axle that goes into the tranny was still in the tranny. anyways so we took out the old part and but the new part in , but the new axle was about 1/2 inch too short! so my boi thought he just got the wrong part so the next day after confirming with the part distributor that we had the right part we installed the new axle agian . the reason we knew it was too short was cuz the cv boot on the tranny side was streched to the max and through touching it we could telll the joint was dislocated, so anyway i talked to the dude who sold me the car and we sed that he had swapped a 2.1 Si motor into the car (he doesnt remeber the year).... but the part distibutor sed it doesnt matter and it uses the same axle....and i looked at the motor and it read b21a5
does anyone know anything about this problem, or ran into a similiar problem? can anyone help me i need to get this car running and its reallie pissing me off.!or am i just dicked? thanks

The motors are interchangable, they bolt up to everything. That's not where you're problem is coming in I don't think.
Your transmission is the issue. Try and see where your motor is mounting and make sure nothing is bent.
If all else fails, call an axle place like The Driveshaft Shop and ask them.
