I have a d16y8 with the edelbrock turbo kit. The car pulls hard at 3/4 throttle every gear all the way to redline. At full throttle between 4k-redlone the engine sputters/hesitates. Coule this be a fuel or ignition problem? I have ngk iridium plugs gapped at 1.1mm. Are these plugs too hot? Is the gap too big? Why's my car sputtering? Any info will be appreciated

 

whats what like a .042" gap?...ide say way to high for a boosted car...i dont know anything about the plugs your running either but i hated iridiums in my car and none of my friends had luck with them either...ide invest about 5-6 bucks in a set of ngk 3330 copper plugs with a .032" gap and see how that does....also, how do you plugs look? are they black?

 

haven't checked the plugs yet. tey only have 100 miles on them. I'll check em. I've heard the ngk "v" grooves are the best for boosted setups

what are you doing for fuel? im having the same problem on my boosted b18b. im running 450cc's with the afc hack but i have the car running really rich. the afc is set at -27 so im pretty sure thats my problem. also check your timing. thats another thing i have to check.
