What are your crusing EGT's
Just curiosu as to what your EGT's are at when you cruise on the highway. I got my AEM EMS back from the AEM, and the car had some of the off idle and idle worked out. Basically everything not seeing boost. However, it was not completely tuned because the EMS grounded itself out and needed to be repaired. The accelerator pump needs some more tuning and I assume that the off idle still needs tuned, but the car drives and drives relatively nicely and problem free. On the highway tonight my EGT's were aroune 1250, and I was just wondering if that was safe. It probally is still running a little rich, but I am not too sure. I mean, I understand that Honda's burn rather lean when it is on the highway, but is that a legit number to have? What temperature should I begin to worry about temperature? BTW it is a built bottomend w/ ARP studs and cometic headgasket. Any insight would be very helpful, thanks!!!
So.....thats about 676C.
Thats normal. Remember when you're cruising on the highway ur ecu goes into closed loop and tries to get stoic. ( I think if AEM is similar to HONDATA)
As it reaches optimal a/f to get best gas mileage it will get leaner and hotter. I would worry if EGT's start climbing to 1500-1600F.

i'm running the AFC hack on 390cc DSM injectors. my EGT probe is mounted right at the start of the downpipe, right after the o2 housing.
if i pound it up a hill for a long while, the EGTs climb to about 1000 and max at 1250. idling, they cruise at around 250. easy driving, they climb up to around 450-600deg.

yeah thats a couple hundred degrees hotter than mine are cruising around.. I haven't even see that high winding it out to 9k
edit: my wideband reads in the 13.0-13.5ish range cruising around

My mistake, my EGT's were around 1300f, or 675c at around 70 mph. under boost it is around 1400-1500. The boost hasn't been tuned yet I am just happy to drive it though.

do my EGTs sound unusually cold to anyone?? if i boost partial throttle in 5th, they'll climb to around 1200, but that's the highest i can get it to.
my plugs were changed when i installed the turbo, about 600mi ago, and they're black and crusty at the base, and the electrode is a clean, flat, dark brown.
