How many quarts of coolant?
i bought the premixed Acura coolant/H2O from the dealer the other day (i think it's called Type II), and was told the one bottle is enough....but something tells me it would take more. i forgot the amount on the bottle and it's not with me, but it looked like about 1 gallons worth.
anyways, thanks in advance!

since you're in Florida...
get one container of the premix, and a gallon of distilled water.
you'll have to "bled" the system anyway, and the extra water is good for batteries, etc...

Our local, knowledgeable dealer (Acura of Brookfield) strongly recommends against using water in the cooling system of the cars. Honda puts strong limits on the quality of the water that's used in the premix fluid, whereas local water quality varies. They've seen radiators and cooling systems destroyed from the use of local water instead of the Honda premix fluid.
the water needs to be distilled, otherwise the minerals will clog and erode the block. honda just premixes distilled water and radiator fluid 50/50.

so the radiator accepts a total of 1 gallon? 50 (half gallon) coolant / 50 (half gallon) distilled water?

2 gallons in the coolant system
1 gallon distilled water, 1 gallon coolant.
But if you buy Type-2 from Honda it comes 50/50 premixed so you need two gallon jugs of the Type-2
