Default Spoon 1.8 Kit

Anyone had any experiences on it? I was looking at it for a friend who i was helping with a b16. It looks like a nice setup, and for the price, it seems a good deal.

I just want to know if anyone has any experiences with it. TIA...

It's only for the Civic Type R motor, aka the B16B, not for the B16A.

The Spoon kit is just OEM Itr Parts.
Crank Rods pistons etc. Basically turning a b16b into 1.8 liter by increasing the stroke

I take it the Rods arent different? I figured it was mostly stock parts, but the compression ratio is raised, and so is the stroke.

The differences in the b16b and b16a bottom ends cannot be so different that you cant use the kit on the b16a.

The actual block is different height wise.

what?

you CANNOT use the kit on a b16a.
tell yer bud to find a b18 block.

if he DOES have a b16b block..i believe it's way cheaper to get an itr or gsr crank, itr or gsr rods, and either ctr or jdm itr pistons.
spoon itr stuff is just rebalanced by spoon, then repackaged. oem itr stuff is pretty damn good from the factory so why get robbed. if yer gonna spend that much money, i'd get an itr crank, aftermarket I beam ultralight rods, and cp pistons.

We have a 1.8 block. But also theres a b16 block sitting too, and we were just looking at options for it.

Thanx for the info.

A friend in Columbia has a B16b block hes selling, and we were thinking of jumping on it as well. Info was informative.
