ive been looking at different turbo kits lately and i am most likely going to get the greddy kit, because it is pretty much complete and im going to be doing mostly street driving. now heres my problem. I have a 88' crx hf with a b16a in it. Would the civic Si kit be able to work with my car, piping wise. I really want a more powerful kit like a Drag Kit or a RevHard, but i dont have the funds to bother with a standalone and all the other extras you will need to make it run correctly. well all opinions are appreciated. thanks

 

I think the drag and f-max kits are complete, not greddy. For the intercooler upgrade from greddy, plus their kit, you're looking at a drag3 kit and a standalone already.

 

i thought the greddy kit came with an intercooler for the Si kit. and i thought it was around 3g's. and with the greddy kit it comes with that piggy back "blue/black box" and it comes with injectors. but with the rev hard / fmax / drag kit its just the turbo kit. i would much rather have a revhard/ drag kit but im on a tight budget and its basically for street use. HELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!

 

I'm not sure if it comes with a IC kit, but the drag, fmax, revhard does. aaaand right now, Ben@importparts is having a group buy on Drag kits for 3199 plus a lot of free **** that you'll need. Miriaz is having a groupbuy on Fmax too that's a pretty good deal also. Check them out on this forum.

 

alright, you guys have me leaning toward a revhard/drag kit now..haha, but it wouldnt be for a while till i would be able to uprade stuff on my motor,fuel management etc....what boost levels would i be safe for me to drive on. my b16a is in good shape and is in desperate need of more power. i was thinking about going the NA route but im not trying to race light to light all of the time. and besides if i were to run someone on the freeway or something im not trying to get dizusted. hahaha well anyway, i need some feedback so i can make up my mind. thanks

 

Dude...you have a B16A that will be a daily driver. ALL MOTOR..stay reliable, that's what Honda is all about. I think I saw your car at the car show...all stripped out and with a roll cage!! Looks like a race car. Do you ever get rolled up on by the police? I dunno, turbo is cool too, but I like street cars that are fast, but reliable just like a factory car. Did you ever see the inlinefour peeps cars? Not too crazy, but all motor and I belive they drive them everyday.

With that kind of attitude you won't make it far in the boosting world. Darth Vader was "MAYBE" on the dark side and look what happened to him! Turned into a damn good guy under a little pressure. You have to WANT this, man! Or don't bother!
