Tonight In my brother's EM1-00 Si we were on the highway and VTEC was working fine,but then later on we being tailgatd and the engine would not crack VTEC we took up 2 6500 rpm and still no sign of VTEC....what the hells going on? I need some major help cause we can't afford to take it to the HONDA dealership what can be causing the VTEC not to engage some1 please help.

 

many things... most common is when you are low on oil.

any CEL's?

 

Oil level is fine but rather than that its has 1cel because of the gutted cat.

 

Check the codes, you will have one besides your 2nd O2 sensor code relating to the problem.
