Campin Cracker

I have a K20a2 in a 95 civic sedan running Kpro. This afternoon I was driving the car and got into it a little bit and VTEC was sputtering, it was really weird feeling. Now sometimes it engages and but most of the time it doesn't engage and when it does it sputters. I did datalog it and it isn't throwing any other code than P0134 for the o2 sensor which it has had forever. I checked the oil and it is in between the two dots on the stick. In K Manager the VTEC spool is turning on at 4500 but VTEC isn't engaging. Could the VTEC solenoid cause this with no codes?? I'm just trying to find where to start looking for the problem.

sometimes it could as simple as cleaning the mesh screen on the vtec solenoid...take it off and check if its clogged up.
