Default b18C clutch problems.

I've been having trouble getting my car into gear. I can push the clutch pedal in, and it's like it's not in at all. Sometimes i can bleed the clutch and it will be fine for an hour, week, day....whatever....it's very sporadic. But it's getting worse. I thought it was a clutch master cylinder problem since it did the same thing with the old motor. So the cluctch m/c was replaced, and now i'm suspecting the slave cylinder, but that's what was replaced on my old D16z6 with the same problem and it didn't fix it. I really don't know what to do. Any ideas.

p.s. when it's working the clutch grabs awesome, with no slippage.

i'm gonna post this in the tech section too...no flaming

slave cylinders usually go before master cylinders, i would replace your slave cylinder (would have done that first off, cheaper then a master) and then check all your fittings to make sure there tight and not leaking. There isn't much to a clutch line (master-line-slave) its probably your slave though

They aren't hard to change and since you already have them, why not give it try?

always good to replace BOTH master and slave
slave goes first, but when you put on fresh slave it blows out the master

70k intervals are usually what they last
