Is a FPR need w/ the extra injector setup (ie: FMAX)?
Me and Reverend were wondering, do you need a FPR (normal B&M Command Flo type) w/ the extra injector setup (FMAX)? Most of the people I know have one, but no one knows why they need it. So is it really needed, and why?
You shouldn't need one. The MF2 should take care of the injectors by itself...curious as to why Reverend wanted to know this...I thought he was already running the MF2 setup...
He says he has one on. Jeff (ProjectD2-Jeff) installed his kit and he says it was idling all funny. Put a FPR in and it fixed it.
I'm just wondering if I should order one before hand.

hmmm....well you can tune the MF2's (not many people know this or know how to), or it could be a bad injector, but its up to you...If you can afford a couple of days of down time, I'd try it without the FPR first and see how it goes...Its should work without having to do all those tweaks unless you're doing something out of the ordinary...but if you have the same problem, then at least you have a solution ready....no use in buying a solution for a problem you may not have...my $.02

I'm gunna pick it up. Summit racing would take it back if I never used it or took it out of the box. All I'll lose is shipping. To make sure I have no down time its worth it.
Thats another problem you brought up. There really aren't many people around w/ experience w/ the FMAX kit. Especially tuning it.

Yeah...We'll need to work together on this...another advantage of having a group buy...everyone is in the same boat...just keep in touch after the install
