WHAT IS THE OPTIMAL SIZE OF INJECTOR FOR MY SETUP!! PLEASE HELP!
ok Guys....here is my setup
95 usdm b18c1 (gsr) with a 18g turbo. Now.. the kit comes with 310 injectors. I'm going to be running 8-10 psi...after consulting a reputable tuner..I was told that 450 cc injectors will be ideal for this psi range while running a stock fuel pressure regulator!! This kinda sucks cause I already have the 310 cc. Do u guys think I will I need to upgrade considering I want to stick with the stock fpr? any opinions would help!!
Also..I am wondering why greddy would supply 310 injectors if their kit is suppose to run @ 7 psi if they weren't sufficent?? I confused!

you almost have to run 450's with 8-10psi.
You may be able to get away with 310's @ 7psi. But the 8-10 range would put them at about 100% duty or past.

The kit comes with 310's because thats what the blue/black box (comes with the kit) is tuned for. Greddys for of fuel management consists of the fuel computer (box) and the 310cc injectors.
Now if your ditching that set-up and going for a more favorable set-up like hondata, then you will need 450cc - 550cc injectors for you desired goal.

You could do bigger than that because you are going to get bored with 10 psi. Maybe like 880s...you using hondata? Check the search engine...may find something there on what you are looking for.

I think 310's are to small, just because its good practice to plan for the future, and sooner or later you will have to upgrade.

sam, the bosch style injectors you pictured above wont fit into a stock fuel rail... you will need a aem ($$$) or the new edelbrock fuel rail, they both have an option of being drilled for bosch style injectors... my 720's are bosch style.... my old ones were rc 440's they come in standard honda sizes (no aftermarket fuel rail needed)... next time i see you i will show you what i mean!!

Re: (psi420)
310's and hondata doesnt mean blown motor, it means that he could potentially hit the wall of a safe air/fuel ratio before the engine is maxxed out.. with a proper wideband reading, and dutycycle reading it doesnt mean anything except having to get bigger ones and retune for more power....

well in that case i'd go with at least 550's that way you have room to grow.
310's will be good for about 5psi before they are maxed out (rough estimate).

My thoughts exactly.
Your 7-10psi goals will end in certain doom if you run 310's.
Lets put it this way....what are your HP goals with 310's?
I used RC's calculator and this is what I came up with.
250bhp - Crank Horsepower basically (I know its BRAKE you HT nazzi's )
.60BSFC
90% Duty Cycle
Running 80psi
You STILL need 323cc's.....and thats with "not safe" numbers.
You can get 440 dsm's for mad cheap, do that instead.
You got Hondata, go as big as you can afford, leave room to grow.
**** man, do it right the first time, and forget about it.
