i have 1994 H22A in my 1993 hatch and i wanted to know how much i should retard or advance my timing if i were to run 110 octane fuel with the following mods
-FACTORY LSD
-SHORT AIR INTAKE
-WALBRO 255LPH FUEL PUMP
-AASOC ALUMINUM LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL
-ACT EXTREME CLUTCH
-APEXi N1 CAT BACK
-FREE FLOW CAT
-PLACE RACING MOUNTS
-PLACE RACING AXELS
thanks any help is welcomed!
hmmm there's really no definite answer to that, but I have found that the few h22a's I've tune liked about 20-22 degs of timing, that was on pump gas like 93 or so. And thats with a p13 ecu.
Higher octane fuel burns leaner allowing you to advance your timing to squeeze out a bit more horsepower. As far as how much you should advance it, I really wouldn't screw with it unless you are running hondata or some other EMS that allows you to fine tune your ignition tables.
Based on your set-up, I doubt you will benifit much from running 110 octane. The only thing you might get is a fouled 02 sensor in the process.

I would definately get it dyno'd b4 you mess with the timing
