just installed s2k antenna, will it leak?
i used the kit from the guy on these forums. its looks great and was a very easy install but im thinking water might get in between the antenna and the OEM rubber peice under it. the antennaand rubber peice is on there very tight and wont move at all when i try to turn it.
has water got in yours?

no water has got into mine. I sprayed it with a hose after i installed, and i've driven in countless storms and mine is fine. that rubber piece is pretty tight. I got mine fro LoCustoms.com.

After abou 6 months of having mine, i did get some water in my trunk....not much, but eh...i got sick of having the s2k antenna...couldnt get reception even w/ speaker wire everywhere...also, my car cover kept bending it cause it was in the way....looks clean tho
i love how it looks, and my stock antenna was really loud going up and down. around here ive never seen another teg with the sk2 antenna.

The button to turn on and off your radio (volume) on the stock headunit is the on and off button for the antenna. If you got an aftermarket deck, it won't work. That being unless you hook up the wiring from the antenna to another button on the deck. It may not be possible with most.

When I had my old S2K antenna setup (fender washer glued to PVC piece below quarter panel), a little water did get inside that piece. When I took it off I could see a little rust and corrosion on the washer inside.
Awhile back I redid the setup w/ a PVC endcap in place of the flat washer, and I drilled a hole in the middle of it for the bolt. I haven't really taken it off in probably over a year so I don't know if any water has gotten in it.
