Default Crap, I put too much oil in my car

Ok, you know how theres the two dots, i have double that amount, i wasn't paying attention and i only meant to put in 1/3 of the bottle, and ended up putting all of it. Now i have a crap load in there. Is that really bad for the car? If so should i take some out or is it ok to leave it there?

Just drain it out into a clean container...and put what you need back in.

That is what I would do....but I use Mobile 1...and that goes for about $4.50 per quart.

If you use regular you could just buy some more, and recycle the stuff you take out.

drain it immediately to the appropriate level imagine the extra pressure in there its going to have to give some where maybe a leak through a gasket or mes up the valve train

Its not going to mess up the valve train....But why do you think that there is a limit? If you run too much oil pressure, you will cause extreme pressures on your oil rings and ultimately result in blow by like a beeaaatch.

Having too much oil will NOT increase oil pressure. It can decrease pressure- Too much oil can be whipped up by the crankshaft resulting in "foamy" oil which reduces oil pressure.

You need to change it out and put the right amount of oil in.
If you put to much in, you will blow a gasket.

yep civicgirl knows from my experience, It is better to drain some oil now than to do another oil change in two days when you blow your oil pan gasket.

go find a street with a speed bump in the middle of it. Speed towards it and when you slam into it and bottom out your oil pan, the resulting hole will get rid of your excess oil.

I say go for the speed bump thing....that should get rid of the extra oil..

fixhonda-Too mcu oil will not increase your oil pressure??? Think about it....Oil pressure low = not enough oil....Oil pressure = too much oil....It isnt that hard to figure out...just common sense...
