Default SARS, and other Summit tales....

So Karl and I go out 1st session Sunday in my car. The following is actually occured after the ride:

1) I return to the car to find it won't go into gear. Any gear. It'll go into gear with the engine off, but not while running. So I start the car with it in gear (and clutch disengaged), move the car, and the problem mysteriously vanishes. I call it 24 minute SARS (kin to 24 hour flu)

2) Somehow, my clock magically just resets itself to noon (it's 9:40 am), and all my radio presets vanish.

3) Passenger inner CV boot decides to commit suicide.

I am not making any of this up, I swear.

On the way out I stop to say bye to everyone and shake Karls hand. The car won't go into gear after this.

Good **** Karl. I'm calling the CDC tomorrow.

But the good news is you apparently got home.

So SARS might be very communicable, but not deadly.

That's debatable.

I said "Hi" to Karl and made eye contact for about 4 seconds. After the day was over, I realize that my brake pads - Carbotech Panther Plus with 4 total track days on them - have vaporized, and the backing plates have feasted on the rotors. Knock it off, Shultz.

wanna talk about SARS, after a certain someone rode in my car for about 7 minutes, i blew a headgasket on the ride home. its got nothing to do with the fact that my engine had 170,000 on it. 30,000 were autox, hpde and not so easy daily driving miles.

ok guys. i'm a goin' against the grain here......

i hung out with Karl quite a bit this weekend. shook hands, etc. etc.

my car ran its heart out, (especially in Sundays race). zero problems. zero. i just added gas this weekend, and drove it (not fast enough, though!).

i don't believe in SARS. maybe thats why it doesn't affect me?

hey Karl, you are welcome in my pit anytime!!!!

todd

PS had a great weekend. the best this year, i think! thanx guys!

Karl leaned on the Accord with Chad and Warren raced it. The car had absolutely no problems all weekend.

SARS is an excuse.

Warren and Todd are obviously just hosts of the virus. They'll transmit it to others with casual contact.

Karl showed up, congratulated me on my qualifying result, and a bolt fell out of my Jeep's power steering pump, thus causing the serpantine belt to be thrown.
