Default engine vibration mount???

hey guys, my ac vibration mount or the torque mount what ever the correct term is, you know the one that is where the ac compressor goes and bolts to the frame of the car. well anyways the rubber is wasted and its causing a bad vibration through the car at idle and certain engine speeds, i know that energy suspension makes an insert and i know that i can fill it with 3m window weld, but i had a couple questions.

can i run the car with out it? this was recomended by a tuner shop here in southern cali. pros and cons of not having the mount?

should i get a insert or fill it with window weld?

please all opions and advice is welcome.

you can run w/o it. ive had a ls and now a h22 without the lower engine mounts. the two lower just help keeps it more stable. imo u dont need it. the three main mount will hold.

Wheel hop would be insane. My torque mount on that side is bad too. I tried to fix it by throwing in a ES insert. No luck. I get a loud *** knock sometimes when I shift or when I'm turning the car.

With the stock 3 mounts in YES you need those 2 lower torque mounts.....they do help keep the engine more stable and from twisting under acceleration in turns and when you shift hard....

Mine w here broken and my motor would hit the hood when I shifted hard, and I have a ZC.......so I'd get them fixed....I recomment http://www.jimfab.com mounts, I have them and they ******* rock!!!! check them out!!

With the Hassport mounts in YES you CAN run without the lower mounts.....

Also those 2 torque mounts help keep the motor in place in the event of a accident etc etc etc...

thanks for the help guys, i definatly will keep the mount but i will try to fix it first by doing the 3m window weld trick then if it still sucks then i might break down and buy some jimfab mounts.

the window sealer is hard if the rubber is broken...I tried it.......can't center the piece where it needs to be too well and they take forever to harden and if you decided to put in the oven they fill your house with a nasty smell!!
