Ok, to start, I've got a '93 dx hatch w/ a GSR engine in it. I'm going all motor. I'm trying to find some reasonably priced axles for my car. I plan to do a lot of serious road racing this spring and summer, but would want to take the car to the strip occasionally and be able to throw on slicks and not worry about breakin axles! Axles that are rated for more than 300hp I think would be overkill for my situation. I've looked into the driveshaftshop stage 1's for a swapped cars, they're rated at 225hp...but I called and the guy there told me that they were pretty much just a light upgrade over stock and wouldn't be able to handle slicks at the drag strip.

So if anyone can recommend some axles that would work for my setup I'd appreciate it! I'm looking to spend under $500, but let me hear any suggestions.

Maybe you should talk to Stan (Flamenco-t) about a set of Gator axles. The stage 2's are still under $500 and rated to 400whp.

 

I checked out gatorracingaxles.com and theres nothing on that website. Do you think that there are some axles i can find that are rated for less than 400hp, I'm hoping that they will be less expensive

I would just PM FlamencoT about those axles. They're cheaper and can handle alot of horsepwer

Does anyone else have any opinions on axles that would be right for my plans?
