Default H23-->H22 Injector help

I am currently helping a friend put a h22 into his 92 prelude that came with a h23. We have the h22 currently in the engine bay and waiting to be wired up. Today when i was test fitting wires to see what needs extended or what needs to be switched over i found that the h22 injectors have a different connector than the h23. So heres my question can i just cut the injector wires and solder the h22 wires on (we have a h22 harness just sitting there)will that work fine or is there another solution that other people use?

thanks
erik

ok i have a few question, what year h22 did you use? Is the h22 harness on the engine or did you re-use the h23 harness? If you are using the h23 harness and the engine the clips might look a little different but they will clip right up. I did not have to cut any wires or make any adjustments to the harness besides the vtec wires. If your engine is an obdII engine then it might be a little different. also if you need the pins for the ecu for the vtec wires let me know. i have them

We resused the h23 wiring harness, the engine is a 95 obd1. The injector wires are differrent they will not fit on the h22 injectors. It looks like if we shaved a little plastic off the injector plugs it would work but how it is now there is no way in hell theyre fitting. Im starting to wonder if i should just plug the h22 harness in and go from there. What do you guys think?

well, if you have a full H22 harness already then just use that, but i don't see how the injectors clips would be different unless your 95 h22 odbI is actually for a 96 lude which would be obdII. Is the engine JDM or USDM? if its JDM did it come with the partial harness? if so see if there is the wiring to goto the resister box that is located on the drivers side of the engine compartment by where you put clutch and brake fluid

well, if thats the case you have a few options, you can locate stock h22 injectors and use the h23 harness or redo the wiring and use a vafc to adjust for the larger injectors. If you are planing on just going all motor it would probably be better to get stock injectors.

it would run way to lean using h23 injectors. expecially if you accidently hit vtec.

i would rewire the harness but i have no idea what size those injectors and i cant afford a vafc right now and it would be useless since i dont know what size the injectors are, looks like i will have to find some stock injectors
