Default wiring harness problem

ever since my car was stolen my red igntion wire does not work so i had to wire up the ignition wire to the yellow battery wire but the thing is the radio stays on no matter what unless i remove the face....can i run the ignition wire to the cigarette lighter in order for my radio to function only with the ignition is on? also for some reason my door panel speakers dont work!!all the wiring is where it should be and evrything is well connected.is there anything else i should look for to find out why arent they working?

correct me if i'm wrong but the yellow wire is the ignition wire and the red wire is the accessory.. the only thing i can think of for your speakers if all the connections are perfect, is if somehow you shorted them out rewiring stuff.. your problem confuses me

battery and ignition wires are the same thing, red is accessory/12V constant. if you hook your battery/ignition wire to the constant, your receiver will be on 24/7 until you actually turn it off, is this what's happening? for future reference orange is illumination, black is ground, and usually the blue and white is the remote lead for amps.

Yes you can run the radio from the cigarette lighter - red wire so it only turns on with the ignition.
try pulling those speakers out and verify they work at all - put some kind of signal into them with a walkman or whatever. then do the same thing with the original wires - put the walkman in place fo the radio and the speakers back in the doors to test the wire between radio and door. if they still work it might be the output of the radio that's out.
