Default Suspension Woes

Hey Everyone,
I'm a little pissed off, my damn tires keep rubbing and it doesn't make sense. I've taken out the fender liner/rolled the fenders, and it still does that ****, right tire size, etc. I've had Neuspeed Sport Spring on my car for 13k miles, and JUST put Tokico HP Blue struts on the car, and the front two tires still ****** rub!!! My friend has a enw RSX w/ Tein springs, and I pushed on his fender and his car didn't move, rock steady. when I got home I did this to my car, and it bumped up and down seemingly with ease....does anyone knwo what could be wrong?

Sounds like the Tokico Blues are too soft for your ride.

Is your car properly aligned?

You may want to look where it is rubbing on the bottom side of your fender and then do a little trimming. (for the most inexpensive way)

Or you may have to just get new dampers that are stiffer, like the Illuminas, KYB AGX...

That's odd. I have a much lower drop than you (on stock struts), and albeit I've got like 2-3 degrees of negative camber up front, I can turn the wheel lock to lock without rubbing. Are your tires properly inflated?

the tires rub during a combo of hard cornering and braking, and also when I hit bumps on the interstate, not EVERY bump, but it'll rub on bumps whereas when I had stock struts and my 16" kosei K1's it woudln't rub, and those never rubbed during hard cornering/braking either....tires are 205/40

hmmm...It might be your 17's. My friend used to have 17's on his integra with Neuspeed race springs, and he'd rub pretty hard if he turned too sharp (like, making a u-turn in the street or something).

your wheel offset might not be optimal if it is rubbing on the inside consider wheel spacers. if it's rubbing on the outside, consider new wheels. also your camber can play a role.

the reason your car bounces is because the shocks are not far from stock performance plus his springrate is probably much higher.

the wheels are rubbing on the outsides, so yeah, like I said I'm selling them hopefully and getting a 15 or 16" wheel, and that will stop it most likely since I never rubbed with my 16's.
