Default E Brake Light stays on while driving....

My e-brake is not activated, my guess is low brake fluid? I was told i have dirty brake fluid several times by the acura dealer.

the brake light is not only for the e-brake. it is for the brake system. most likely a fluid problem.

Could be both. Take a look at your fluid level.

i have this same problem on cold mornings...i've checked the fluid level and it's fine. is there anything else i should do? i'm pretty much due for a fluid flush right now, but i dont know if that would be the cause of this...any other thoughts?

It's possible you have air in your brake lines. For the longest time, my light would come on from time to time, and somedays the fluid would be up to the Max, other days it would be near the Min level. I checked the m/c, and all lines, no leaks... so I summed it up to an air bubble in the system, also because my brakes felt mushy somedays and really stiff others. I still have yet to have the system bled completely, I did a crappy job when replacing my rear brakes last spring. Doh

sometimes i have this problem, but it happens when the e brake goes to the point where the light shuts off, and its not activated, then past that point and the light comes on again... i cant figure this out!

had the same problem for a while. Found out my caliper was leaking in the front and causing low amount of brake fluid. Got it replaced and solved the problem.

Sensor? My sensor is screwed up cuz there are no other problems and mine is always on if it is like less than 45 degrees when i start the car...
And yes, this topic has been discussed a lot...hell, i think i even brought it up a few months ago.

this happened to mine a few months ago, check the fluid level and check to see if the floater(sensor) is working properly. it should be covered under the warranty.

Mine does that too. It only started when it began to get colder than 40°.

As the exhaust heats up underneath the e-brake it goes off...kind of weird.

By any chance did you add the type r rear swaybar? I noticed my ebrake light coming on sometimes and it goes away later. The fluid is always full too. I am guessing if might have something to do with the ABS lines just hanging there after doing the type r rear swaybar install.
