Help just installed engine won't start
i just installed a b18c1 into my brother's civic cx (92) it will not start..if i short the starter out then the engine would run..but starting from the ignition it would not start the starter? any reason why? need help.
what about the ground on the Thermostat housing would that make a differance on anything the pieve that comes off of the harness.
If it doesn't turn at all, absolutely doesn't move the flywheel at all....I would bet on a ground problem.
I replaced a tranny for a freind not to long ago, and it wouldn't start after I put everything together. Realized that he had a getto ground on the tranny mount, put it back and fired right up.
Check the thermostate housing ground.

did you check the thermo housing ground yet? i would have to bet on that right now i am not there to see though. That ground is a common one left off
Also to to all the grounds with a Wire brush and brush any paint dirt or scum in the generall vacinit.

check the connections to the starter that you made.if they are tight or not ..or the connection to the battery post..i left that loose once and the car wouldnt start..then i tighten the son of a biatch and it fired up..
