Will High octane kill my engine
as long as you do it in moderation like i usually put 1 gal of race gas(110) to every 5 gals of 93octane that way its not pure 110 it ups the current 93 so the full 110 is diluted and wont kill the car or o2 sensor

nice to know that dan (93lsivic) and I aren't the only ones from the area. Media here as well.
btw, higher octane fuel actually has less energy per unit volume than regular gas. thats why you run it in an engine that is prone to detonate like boosted, high compression, or nitrous set ups. it burns slower and is less likely to allow detonation to occur which is what kills motors. search for octane rating on howstuffworks.com for more info

You can run Sunoco 100 octane all day long and it will not hurt your motor....and it will offer a peppier edge....anything above that in a streetable engine is pointless and harmful.....unless you have an extremely high compression/cams combo. This guy at E-town gave me a free tankful of 100 octane due to a lost bet, and man I that was a fun tank of gas that week. Not crazy noticeable, but awesome on the parkway.
