Default Manual Conversion

How much would it cost to get a full conversion including ecu and blah blah? And i also heard that after switching over, it still isnt the same thing as an original manual. is that true? is there anyone in here who has dont conversion? and problems? Worth it?

in socal, i heard people were chargine like $1300 for the labor only to do the swap, depending on how much u have put into your car i would say take it off, sell it, and buy one that is already a stick...even if it isnt the same after a swap its still a thousand times better than driving an auto...

my car is almost new. haha ive had it for a year. it has 18k miles on it. plus my parents bought it, so i cant exactly sell it. and i really want to do this conversion, i just dont want to run into alot of problems. OOOORRRR i could save up money and buy a little car that i can work on. any suggestions on a car that i could make quick. keep it cheap

I just turboed my 6gen auto accord. I have two regrets. First, I should have gotten a smaller turbo to spool up faster. Second, I should have done a manual swap first. The auto is great, but getting off the line is just horrid.

i think doing the conversion would void the warranties on the car so i would stick with it for a couple years since its so new, or just beg your parents to let u sell it for a stick...

get one that's a real manual. waste of time to convert it unless you're already swapping motors too. Cheaper too

trade it in for a five speed, maybe a 5th gen and then get a swap or boost:

Not worth the change if yours is that new!

your looking at 600-700 for tranny 125-175 for ecu, plus labor and headache

there is always headaches

as mike said, theres always headaches... i did it on my 5th gen, it was more time consuming than anyhting. figure under 1000 for EVERYTHING parts wise, i did labor myself, i wouldnt trust a shop, they will likely screw something up anyways.it is much better than auto tho, thats a fact. only thing i didnt change was rear engine mount, i drove a stock 5sp accord and couldnt tell the difference. maybe i just did a good swap job?
