Jackson Racing Supercharger Info
Okay I need a lil info. I have a 99 SI w/ JRSC that the previous owner had installed. The car had 29,000 miles when purchased and he claimed the supercharger had 14,000. The car now has only 34,700 miles and the supercharger has a nasty chattering sound at idle (that is the only time I notice it). I have heard of the rotors hitting each other and chipping. What do I need to look for when I take the supercharger off to check it? And where can I send it to have it fixed and price? Any advice will help.
Does it sounds sorta like a belt squeeking? The JRSC belts needs to be adjusted often and replaced every 15k miles. I doubt the supercharger itself is damaged, They are usually maintaince and problem free.
Its doesn't sound like a belt. I have already experienced that problem. I sounds like metal clanging together and it is definitely coming from the supercharger. I have heard of this problem before.
