After a while, it kind of gets annoying, but you also get used to it. I wouldnt say a few weeks...it all depends on how many miles you drove and if you did it properly the last time you did it.

After youve done it the first couple times, you can do both belts in 20 minutes, no problem. A good estimate on belt tightening...I dont know...every 7k or so?

If you use Goodyear Gatorback belts you will find yourself adjusting the belts much, much less. I've only had to adjust mine once in the last 3000 miles, and it still doesn't need adjusting. Gatorback belts rule. Any belt stretches after its initial installation and needs to be tightened up a bit. That is the one time I have done so.

I just use typical PepBoys Dayco belts without any problems.

And adjusting them is different based on the car, but the SC--->Alt belt is a couple 12mm(if I remember right), push the pulley down and tighten. The Alt--->Crank is a 10mm bolt to hold the pulley bolt from the top and a 17mm nut you loosen, then push the idler pulley up and tighten to keep the tension. Its real simple, as long as you are careful not to overtighten any of the bolts, as they all are fragile.

Reliability has been terrific...over 30k now without an issue, and yes, its a good idea depending on what youre trying to achieve with the kit.
