my blower motor will only turn on w/ direct 12 volts and direct ground . Any ideas and yes the resistor is new

 

maybe somethings wrong behind the actual dash console..... check the actual switch that moves around.....

 

blower motor fan will still not turn on unless given direct power and ground from the battery . I installed new switch, new resister checked my fuses , double checked my fuses and still nothing . Cmon guys its mad cold out

 

have you checked for power at blower motor connector? Also, have you checked continuity to ground on groud side of circuit?

Try this before replacing anything else and let us know...

I have the exact same problem...i just got the car the heat worked one day and then the blower wouldnt come on. I have been driving all week with no heat. I finally got the trunk to latch and lock today so the car is a little warmer...but I have tried everything you have i had the whole thing apart today. Could the climate control make the blower not turn on...because my climate control looks like some kid kicked it into the dash and the tabs are broken off so i cant make it stay in one spot.

Mine does this too. I thought it was because my climate control was broken in half. So I just wired it straight to the battery, put a fuse and switch inline and you got yourself a getto heater, but it is still a heater.
