Default question on oil pans

Tried searching, no conclusive answer..

Is the 1.5L oil pan the same as the 1.6L oil pan? If not, can they be interchanged with no problems?

There are two part numbers for eg oil pans, 102663 and 102662. upon searching hondaautomotiveparts.com both of these part numbers come up for the d16z6 (1.6L) and d15b7(1.5L) engines. so i guess they are the same...

easy way to find out, ask your local dealerships parts department.

I wish it was always this easy. Numerous times I have had to explain that parts are different to dealeship parts departments.

a 1.5L EW pan gasket won't interchange with a 00 D16 gasket.

Hmmm I need a new oil plan for my DOHC ZC.......Just by chance since we have mistabone here.......what gasket would I use?? 88-89 teg I asume....but what is it for the oil pan?? I'm thinkin an EG pan might work but I don't want to spend the cash........

I'm thinking of buying a Moroso oilpan and I'm going to use it on my ZC then put it on my mini me set up I'll be working on in the spring so I want to make sure the pan works on both........I have a comptech ss header if that matters...
