Default B16A2 Swap

I want to do a B16A2 swap on my 97 LX sedan but I was wondering how much it would cost me including the engine, ecu, manual tranny, the whole bit. A ballpark figure will help in order to see if I need to save more money.

my friend just got a b16 into his 91 crx. originally it was supposed to cost 4200 for everything including labor, but......he hadn't thought to change the timeing belt, water pump, spark plug ****.....which is how his 100% startup warrenty works. well after that the oil pump went bad so that had to change, his header wouldn't fit so he had to buy a new radiator and fan. not that he's complaining just the little stuff adds up. his grand total came to like $5600. so i'd say 4,000 to 6,000 that's my ball park.
good luck

sorry so long

B16A2, as in 99-00 Si or a 2nd gen SirII JDM B16???

You could spend anywhere from 2 grand up to 4 grand for the entire engine/ecu setup with mounts, and then expect to pay 2-500 for labor

if your doing it yourself it had better no cost you any more than three grand. You can find the motor on ebay for dirt cheap....or the parts trader thats a good one too. If you are having someone else do it, your looking at some serious labor...One thing for sure, do it right the first time though. Good luck with that swap.

should be pretty much plug and play. for you. just move the harness around to make it fit all the sensors. i didnt have to cut or extend one wire in my swap. also look into getting an obd1 ecu and jumper harness.

I got my b16a2 from an ht member for $2300.

I see them going for anywhere from 2k-4k like someone already said. Awhile back i got a quote from a local shop for a b16 installed for $3k.

acydphryck,

Did prostreetimport do a swap for you?

I'm looking to have them do a swap for me, and was wondering on their quality, etc. etc.

If your doing the swap your self id say about 2-3 grand its all depending on how much you get the motor for , and what all you need to replace. If your haveing a shop put it in for you i say probably expect about 500-700 in labor
