B16A2 swap..
So I have an auto ej1 with a D16Z6. Not happy with the power it's giving me and I really don't wanna put money into the D engine. So with that being said, I got B16A2 off a 99 Si. I would much rather put money into a bigger engine with less miles. As far as swaps go, I'm new. Yes, I've seen a lot of threads of people doing this swap, but most, are already manual. I'm posting to see if I can find out what I need in order to do this swap. Keep in mind that I already have the complete B16 engine. ECU, harness, clutch pedal, everything. Just need to know what's required. Thanks.. I'll post pics of my car as well as B16 engine a bit later.

Re: B16A2 swap..
B16 is not larger engine that a D16 both 1.6L. For the money you should do a B18C1 swap, you will be much happier. Since you have the B16 already and all the stuff to swap it is it just a plug any play swap. Use the D series harness since your EJ1 had a different style harness ans the EM1 harness will not work with your chassis and it will have unneeded plugs. You will also need to chip and tune your P28 ECU since the B16 ECU will also not work in your chassis.

OP, if you are persistent on ditching that automatic Civic EX....SELL the car and get one that is manual. If you have another car to drive, get a rolling shell and then throw that swap in. That torque-less B16 will not be that much better than the D16. I would rather go with a B18B1 or B18C1 instead.

Re: B16A2 swap..
NVTurbo, that's true. I love the eg body style. I found a pretty clean one that's manual already. Texted the guy to see if he's down for a trade. But as far as the B16 goes, I think I'm gonna stick with that. It already has a few mods done to it. Thanks for the help.
