Default 02 sensor wiring

My downpipe has two 02 bungs on them right next to eachother instead of how it should have been done with one where the header is and one where the cat would be. My downpipe eliminates the cat. Anyways i have two bungs where the cat should be so i want to know if i can extend the primary 02 sensor to a bung that is where the cat would be. Thanks

yes you can extend it out, just cut and solder. Obviously your car is an OBD 2 car wit secondary O2 sensor, you'll throw a CEL for the secondary O2 anyway, unless you converted to OBD1 (which in this cae, you can just unplug the secondary O2 from the harness) or run an O2 simulator to trick the ECU.

14-16 gauge is fine, any insulated wires will work
