Your car will throw CELs and pollute the air and will not make any more power. And when you do need a cat you'll have ruined the very expensive, reliable, effective OEM unit.

What other kind of ill-considered fuckery do you have planned for your poor car?

The benefit of the extra HP is there but whether it justifies the cost of not have one is debateable.

Not with a hollowed-out OEM cat.

A test pipe might yield 2~3 hp, if he's lucky.

i'm not doing it. someone told me it makes a good difference on the Type R, and I didn;t believe it. i'm not touching my R. she's all stock, and staying that way in every way.

a few of my friends swear it will make more power for me to remove my cat on my hatch but i really doubt it. oh well i guess i will find out tomorow when i take it to the dyno and test with exhaust and just go open header.

just get a test pipe if your'e hell bent on polluting the air... you won't make more than 2 to 3 hp though - the tiny collector is the real restriction on USDM ITR's - get a better header first...
