is it true...
that removing the mid part of the exhaust on a 97-01 lude is the worst thing to do....
like removing cat will make you lose power? can someone confirm to me if this is true or not? thanks

Gutting a cat is a bad idea.

It will make a slight difference (not as much as a test pipe or gutted cat) but IMO it's not worth it - sometimes you can't even pass emissions with a high-flo, I guess it depends on how strict emissions testing is in your area.

huh? i was under the impression that backpressure was bad.

So far its all been hearsay.
Id say, some back pressure is good. If any of you have worked on a goped or anything like that, if you mess with the exhaust it will change the back pressure, and slow you down BIG TIME. thats a 2stroke though so....
Im not really 100% sure as i am not a liscensed rocket scientist.

Put up or shutup. Please quantify your statement. SHOW me that back pressure is a good thing for any prelude engine. 'Cause I have dynos that PROVE otherwise. My Lude makes 5 more torque and 3 more horsepower open header vs. crush bent 2.25" exhaust. Tell me why that is. Hmmm? If you have nothing to contribute don't spread misinformation. But then again please prove me wrong I would love the information.

EDIT:
red is open header
blue is crush bent 2.25"
As anyone can see gains across the board.

From what I understand a little backpressure helps with low end torque, but does inhibit mid and high range power. I'd like to compare those dyno numbers and see if it agrees with what I've heard or not.
