IAC valve same as?
still throwing a code 14 and it sucks! runs like ****! I switched the iacv out with several different ones off civic and it still does the same thing. does it have to be off a itr? is there anything else that would cause the ecu to THINK the iacv is bad? thanx

Is this on an ITR or something else? I seem to remember when doing a swap you need to swap the pin locations of two wires (iacv and something else).
it is a 2000 PY ITR. Its throwing a code 14 and idles and runs like crap! I have switched it out with 2 other iacv and it still does the same thing. I was just wondering whether or not it has to be a exact one from a itr for it or not. Im starting to think that there is something else wrong with it and its tricking the ecu to think its the iacv. anybody? I already took it off and cleaned it with brake cleaner. thanx fellas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gabe

If you replaced the IACV with two others and the code is still there, then you have a problem with the plug or the wires to the ECU.
Start by checking the plug on the engine harness. Sometimes the pins inside can slide back into the plug and not make a good connection. it has happened to me.
if the plug is making good contact and there is no chance of a pin not making contact at the IACV plug, then there is a problem with the wires.
Have you had an AFC installed? Have any of the wires at the ECU ever messed with? I don't know where the IACV pin is at on your OBD2 ECU. It would be worth it to check for continuity from the ECU to the plug on the engine bay.

whats up hector, I'm having the same problem it seems to happen about once a month . I've heard everything to vacum leaks to air pockets in the coolant sys. holla back if you find the prob.
aight fellas just a lil update on my idle problem..........ITS FIXED!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAA!!!!!!! boi am I glad that **** stopped. all along it wasnt the iacv or vacum lines, the intake manifold gasket was pretty bad. it was leaking all the way around and I gues it caused the ecu to think it was the iacv. weird if you ask me but I replaced the manifold gaske and poof! no more problems
