Default Changing oil pan question

Can the oil pan be changed from under the car without doing anything else but dropping the pan or am I in for surprises?

Just trying to switch out oil pans and need some info before hand.

thanks

This may go without saying, but you need to drain and refill the oil.

Also, you need to remove the tranny brace after removing the header.
