Only the 93-95's had VTEC on the valve cover.

 

Only the 94-95 had vtec on the valve cover. I own a 93 SI it didnt come with it..but my 94 and 95 engine did (i bought a few..ya ya long story..)

Tell me about it! Have you guys seen the 2002 Oddessy Si.... er I mean Civic Si!? Hehe.. what happend there!

 

No kidding! first time I saw a picture of one I was like "what the f***?" It looks like a dropped Oddessy with rims!

 

the easy way to tell if an engine has vtec is to look for the vtec solinoid.. it ususally sits at the top left of the engine right near the edge of the valve cover

I dont know what's the deal with car companies these days ,it seems they cant build a real hatch anymore . the all look too long, kinda like small minivans ( new civic si, focus , mazda protege 5 ) Damn the only hatch that still looks like one is the golf but it's kinda girlie .
