i have a 99 si with basic bolt ons,i am interested in the b17a. thje question here is which engine is worth the trouble b16a b17a,or b18c.if this question has been asked b4 sorry but i wold really would like to know.also i have a b18a block with a spun #3 journal would/could use some help or sell if interested.

 

what do u have planned to do with the motor? FI or NA if NA do u plan on just H/I/E or are u gonna built it up nice?

 

If you are dead set on a swap then go with the b18c.

The b17 is only about 50cc's larger than the 16.

IMO spend the money on boosting the 16

 

yeah if u plan one going NA i would say B18c

for FI i would say B16a

and i would not recomend the B17

I still don't see why you want to take out a perfectly good engine and peice together something that is going to be less reliable.

you wont find a b17a1 without some crazy high mileage...just boost the b16
