Opinions on drag3 manifold?
well I will be hopefully putting a used drag3 manifold for my t3 on my car in the next few months...though everyone talks about boost creep, and cracks and stuff, just curious if drag has a reputible name and product...
im just gettin into the darkside so be gentle. thanks. would prefer personal experiences opposed to opinions ,but whatever, give it to me.

I have used one in the past and I was running a pretty mild setup also, and I didnt have any problems with mine. Just be careful and make sure that there isn't anything wrong with the manifold before you put it on

I had the stock dp and mine crept very bad. Once I got my tial it was better but it still crept just didnt spike. I didnt have a cracking prob though. I still have the thing, I should really get rid of it

I had no problems with mine, boost creep usually is a wastegate problem, and cracking can be fixed by using a flex pipe, most use a straight pipe all the way back giving the exhaust no movement when the engine moves
I have also had no problems with mine cracking. I have boost creep though. Some people say that creep is from the wastegate others say from the manifold. I want to ditch my drag mani and get a tubular for faster spool and it will be more efficient. It depends on your setup. How much boost do you want?

will be on stock bottom end, so nothing crazy. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Boost creep is a serious problem with the mani even at low boost levels because the wastegate is only placed on one runner instead of closer to the merge collector where it can evacuate exhaust gasses better. You might not have any problems though, try an external boost controller to help some.

Love Fab makes a quality manifold. His log mani has the wastegate in an optimum position which would leave to no boost spikes/creeping

I've been running the drag 3 manifold for about 5 months now and have no complaints. My Tial 40mm and Profec B 2 hold boost steady at 17 psi no creep at all.
