i believe im getting a code 9.. the long and short flashes are very distinct correct?
if so then it is a CEL code 9..

anyways according to c-speedracing its:
CYP Sensor (Cylinder) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
* invalid code for throttle body injection Hondas
** invalid code for V6 engines

i have a 99 civic ex.. where exactly can i locate the sensor?

G-town in the house . Its probably a cel code 90, tighten gas cap at least 3 clicks, or gas cap integrity is not good anymore.

 

hmm possibly.. i remember checkin the gas cap tho.. only did a few clicks

the short flashes are quick? i suppose it could be 9 long flasshes

 

well i guess it could be code 90 since all the flashes r the same.. anyways should my CEL light go off if its the gas cap cuz it didnt and ive tried numerous friends gascaps..

anyways should resetting my ecu turn it off?

 

do u have a haynes manual? if so look in there it will tell you what the code is and it will tell you what needs to be done to fix it.

 

pull the back-up fuse to clear it then run the engine and if the ltie comes right back on its most likely a code 9 if the lite doent come back on its prob a 90 due to the fact that a gas cap code is a 2 trip detection code
