On a different note, I never had any problems with my LA amp. I've upgraded to Alpine now but the amp I had put out as least as much as they claimed and the sound quality isn't bad either.
They're made at the same place as Rockford Fosgate so the build quality is pretty good.

I work at a shop that sells Lightning Audio and I have had LA amps in my car in the past. Don't get the yellow amps, bolt series. I haven't had very good luck installing those amps. But i had the strike series amps in my car and never had a problem. I liked that you could add a fan to the top of the amp and a .5 farad capacitor that plugged in to the back of the amp. It was a sweet little amp for 2 10" Orions.
