INSTALLED: AEM V2 on 5th Gen
Just installed AEM V2 on my prelude sh. Install was very simple and straight foward, no cutting or grinding involved cuz the intake is a short ram NOT a CAI. The filter is located right next to the battery. AEM supplied very good instructions with pics and diagrams to lead the way. Install took about hour and half. First driving impression were good. There was noticable increase in mid and highend power from the butt dyno. Overall im impressed with the intake, although pricey, i think its worth the dollars. It combines the best of both worlds, the power of a CAI, without having to worry about water problems. Thumbs up the AEM!

How can that be?? Power of the CAI, would be from drawing cold air from the outside of engine bay.

if he removed the dust shield and the intake resonator it would be drawing air through the hole. at least mine does since it's sitting right on the hole.
A short ram is not a cold air no matter how you look at it. You will never get cold air gains without a cold air intake. Short rams take air from the engine bay, engine bay air is not cold. Only thing you get with a short air is less restriction, not cooler air.
