GM Syncromesh, regular or friction modified?

I'm thinking of trying some synchromesh tranny fluid here in a couple weeks, since my friend who works at a Chevy dealer can get it for $5/qt.
I'm wondering should I get the friction modified stuff or just the regular? I read over in the ITR forum that alot of them are using the FM, but do they need that because of the LSD? Would the FM stuff be alright to use in a open-diff tranny, or do I need to use the regular stuff?

from everything i read before i put the GM stuff in my tranny, it said NOT to get the friction modified one.
just the normal GM stuff here and it's great

yeah but I'm asking since I don't have LSD, could I use the FM stuff or would that be a bad idea, or does it not matter?
YEs, wait a second ok. they're re 3 types of transmission fluids ie MT fluids. normal, friction modified and highly friction modified. Our transmissions call specifically for highly friction modified fluid. I have looked around and honda MTF isnt that bad right from the dealer...as far as price is concerned. As for the LSd, i cant comment, i know when assembling rear ends additives are added when using certain types of clutch pack style limited slip units. Check with the dealer, i dont know if an additive is added for the itr lsd or not.
Good luck

does it say so on the bottle or something? I'm just wondering...
that's interesting, because I've heard many reports of people using regular GM synchromesh and reporting major improvements over Honda MTF.
