Default Recommended Aid For Old *** Tranny?

Hey,

I'll be draining the tranny fluid tomorrow and was wondering if there was some sort of an additive that you would recommend that would prolong the life of the tranny. Mine has 250,000miles on it and it grinds in 2nd.

Thanks.

Synchromesh as a bandaid. There isnt anything you can really do to "fix" it, other than replacing synchros or putting it down and replacing it w/ a newer one

True...synchromesh will take care of minor grinds, but it isn't a miracle cure

Ya I know it won't fix the grind. Hopefully the tranny will last until the swap.
