Default Removing pulley

What is the best way to remove the nut on the crankshaft pulley. Also is it reverse threaded? Right now i am using a pipe wrech to hold the pulley in place and i'm trying to loosen the nut normally. Is there a better way, such as an impact gun? And also just wanted to make sure the threads are normal.. thanks

just take it to any tire shop if your car is still driveable and just have them zap it off with an impact gun...less work and most of the time its free
