Default H22A4 Turbo KIT

What is the best turbo kit for a 00 Type SH? Im thinking of getting the RevHard kit since its one of the cheapest. Drag is the same price but I hear bad things about drag, and its only offered in the GEN 2 version for the 00 ludes. Anyone hear anything about RevHard? Good or bad? I have a stock motor. I want it to be a daily drive, looking for around 300whp.

You won't hit 300whp on a stock block, unfortunately. You have to build to get that kind of power so you don't blow the ringlands.

Ok, with the bottom end beefed up, what kit should i get? And on a stock h22, how much boost should i give it. 6psi? 7psi?

Well, the question I'm attempting to ask is, what turbo kit is better for the h22 or for any car for that matter? And, how much boost can i give it without damaging my motor? And with stock internals and a reasonable boost (~6psi), how much whp should i expect?

not true. My brother is at ~273 HP and ~300 lb/ft of torque (those numbers would be higher now) on an internally stock motor running around 10/11 psi. Been this way for over 10000 w/o a hickup.

a bit off topic, but if you're doing this on a type SH goin over 5psi might give you trouble with the atts. It just doesn't like the extra power. Pulling the atts fuse would be the easiest way to deal with that problem

how would the atts give me trouble? i dont see how the extra hp would affect the atts system. i just know that no one makes an lsd for the type sh due to certain conflicts with the atts. please fill me in, thanks for you help!

Atts just can't seem to handle more than ~250 whp. It tends to shut off if it has to deal with too much power. Remember its a very sensitive system and alot of things can make it go off. Mine once went off after mild acceleration over a few bumps. Anyway, thats why the type SH is regarded as not too good for boosting. I don't know too much on this but thats just what I've heard. Other people here can back this up better than I.

FireDrake on this board pushes 11psi on his stockblock h22a and put out 311whp i believe. I believe he plans on a rebuild in the future since he knows that kind of power with the weak prelude ring-lands will not last that long.
