Oil HELP?
I don't know if I have a problem with my car or not. I changed my oil about 4500 miles ago with mobil 1 syn. 10w-30 and everything runs great but I checked my oil today and no oil even shows up on the dip stick and I was surprised that it was that low in that short of time. I did not think it was that low because VTEC still engages and it does not leak oil on the driveway and no oil light. Another thing is, my friend was driving behind me today and I took off onto the freeway and he noticed a little poof of grey smoke. It was not a lot at all but it has me worried. Any help or opinions would be great.
that "poof of smoke" is normal for all DOHC VTEC motors. during vtec, the engine runs rich naturally. that is why you have a lot of soot buildup on your exhaust tips.
if the smoke is blue, then you got oil ring problems and that is serious. black/gray smoke is fine(during vtec operation of course).

4500 miles? that's quite a lot of miles to be running without an oil change. You're suppose to change it every 2500-3000 miles. That is why you have no oil on your dip stick, man. go change your oil, NOW!

oil light = no oil pressure and possibly a big repair.
make sure to always have level to the second dot..

this will probably sound dumb, but did you check your oil level on level ground? also, check for leaks, maybe you have a bad oil filter that's leaking oil.
