Default Hondata gurus: check out my ROM and tell me what's wrong

http://servion.cybercandy.org/0001.Bin

Well, I've been having some horrid boost cut problems....
see this for reference
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=623030

Since I've tried a different ECU and blue box, the only thing I can see that could possibly cause boost cut that's left is the program.... is there anything you can see that would cause 20psi boost cut?

Your boost cut in the program from what I am seeing my in Romeditor program is set to 18psi. Also, fyi your running in openloop on that map might want to switch it back to closed loop to save some gas.

Yeah, 1psi is in the box, but its not enabled.

I also tried enablinh it at 28psi (the max you can type in), and also leaving the box at 28psi with boost cut diabled.... same thing: boost cut at 20psi.

b18c, cp pistons, eagle rods, stock sleeves. Stock GSR head, stock IM, full-race manifold /w t3/t4b turbo (came off my old dragIII kit).

I've got a 2bd personally, but my buddy has given me full use of his 4bd system until I've got my problem fixed.

I'll go make a pass now and post up the datalog

Ok... here's the deal.

I got an image of the datalog graphs that I thought you all might want to see, as well as a copy of the recording. A few months ago, my hondalogger decided to stop recording many sensors (like TPS, IAT, coolant temp, etc). So if you try to view those, they will not be meaningful. I'm thinking I just need to re-install the hondalogger on my laptop (its a piece of trash laptop in the first place).

I will try to fix the hondalogger and record another pass tomorrow if you guys need it.

During the red arrow in the image posted, I am flooring it completely. Once it hits boost cut, if I keep it floored (as in the recording), it drops to ~7psi and jerks around the enitre car... the boost is not solid at 7spi but fluctuating all over the place (+/- 2 psi or so), causing a quite unpleasant whiplash-type effect.

I also started thinking.... I do have a tial WG with the .65bar spring and a profec-B boost controller. could the profec-b be malfunctioning? Possibly it decided it doesn't like to signal the boost solenoid to hold 20 psi anymore? The car is beautiful at 10psi... just another thought I guess.

Anywa, here's the data

Does this happen all the time or is this intermittent? On your GRAPH can you add the 3 Bar Map option, does it datalog that? Mine doesn't, I can add it but it doesn't change which leads me to believe it is not turned on as 3 bar.

It worked fine for weeks... then it started happening rarely, now its all the time. With no changes in the setup whatsoever.

If you look at the rom I posted above, its got the 3bar enabled..... otherwise, I think you would've been right on the money.

He was talking about me! My prblem was actually in the blue box, we swapped that and the ribbon out and no more problems, BOOSTED and REVVED the Hell out of it! Tomorrow I will actually swap the ribbon back out and check to see if that wasn't theprblem since I sapped both the ribbon and blue box. Good luck on yours.

Have you checked your plugs? When was the cap/rotor/wires last replaced? That fixed the problem for a friend of mine.. it was almost like the fuel was cutting at about 5k.

1 month old or less plugs, wires, carp, etc. A full tune-up was done recently.

The problem is, it runs fine at lower boost... 10psi is strong as hell. It cuts off at 20psi.

Yeah, I was going to say this. I looked at your file and I don't see **** on here other than it won't rev all the way. Also, it scares me that the TPS and other sensor won't log. I think there is a problem elsewhere. I don't see anything in your rom that could be cuasing this.

The TPS and what not won't log... but I'm sure its a problem with my hondalogger/laptop. I've datalogged other peoples' setups revently and had the same issue.... but the coolant temp, for example, shows up in the rom editor when its connected. Its just a problem with the hondalogger... I'll jsut reinstall it, and I bet that will take care of it.

If I run 10-15 psi, it pulls hard all the way to redline.

Have you tried setting the boost cut option to 28psi. I see that your map has it disabled now but try it at the max.

Seems to me more of an ignition problem then a boost cut problem. Make sure your plugs are gapped properly, i'd say around .025-.028, check plug gap, and what spark plugs you running? Paul

Well, it only happens at high boost (20psi), and its very inconsistent.

I know I'm not blowing out the spark, because I had that problem, and I fixed it by going from the 7-series ngk to the 8-series and closing the gap up to .026.

I went to the track, and it happened on 1 out of 7 runs..... so its still a problem
