Oil Pan , what type of metal is it ? Anyone..

I've searched this forum up and down and i cannot find what kind of metal my 93' del sol D16Z6 pan is made of. My gramps says it's tin, i say it's aluminum, and my buddy says it's steel. Please help

it is steel the d16y8 is when they started to use aluminum oil pans

does a magnet stick to it? then its steel. otherwise they usualy use cast aluminum.

Tin is toxic and fairly weak, trust me, there are NO tin parts in any modern car. As far as steel or aluminum, got magnet?

It's steel. Found it out today. It may be tin coated or something but it's mostly Steel.
