Default 240-250whp possible

A friend of my has a 95 civic vti (he's in Brazil) They come stock with a b16 motor. He told me that his car has 295 hp at the motor (around 240-250). IS that possible? I know he spent about $6k on it. He has no nitous oxide. I know the head was worked, he problalby has high c/r pistions. He has dc headers and exhaust. I dont know much about his car. I dont think it has that much. Is possile?

Thanks

With FI, it`s totally possible. Just depends on the mods though. He`s probably bullshitting you haha

1.6L
250whp. No FI...

Not possible with the current state of technology in honda's..the biggest baddest 1.6's make 220whp and cost about $8-10,000 to produce.

he's not making that power if he isn't boosted......

but from what you said it sounds like he is all motor and there is no way he making even 200whp ! especially with a DC header !!

he's probably doing the old guess it HP...

Stock = 160hp
header = 30hp
exhaust = 30-40hp
intake = 20-30hp

see i'm already to 260hp with just I/H/E... hahaha

he could have had the block sleeved and be running high compression 84+mm pistons and be around 220whp+
And at $6000 in mods you had better figure out what they are...
Sleeved B16, aftermarket pistons+rods, JUN III cams and valvetrain, plus headwork? ....there's $6000 right there and can be close to what he is bragging about (as long as it is sleeved to get a 84+ mm cylinder bore)

I could make 250whp N/A out of a block that said B16A on the front of it. That will be about the only thing B16 about it though.

honestly, that motor could have major internal work. 86mm bore, jun III's, 12.5:1 Cr, and it still wouldn't have 250whp. Impossible, especially with the stock intake manifold and a crappy dc hedaer. Your friend is living in fantasy land.

They abolished that name a few months ago. Aparently its not 'politically correct'. Now they just call it Full of **** Ricer Land.
