I thought it was pretty kewl. I want to do the same sort of little production if I can ever get my video capture stuff to work properly.
-Floyd, dreaming of a short hilight film from all of the various IT and ECHC races, set to the tune of something by Anthrax or Helmet.... you know, "motivational music!"

Cool video, I really like the look of the curbing reflecting off the window. I also laughed when you took off on that 510 in that chicane... I was like, "how come you're not using as much track as the datsun... oh, now I see."
Anyway, I'm not making any sense, but cool vid nonetheless.

That's funny you say that, my brother was in Special Forces for 4 years and some of his buddies made a video of a lot of their training excercises, you know, lots of stuff blowing up, rockets and heavy machine gun fire, and lots of jumping out of airplanes and helicopters while holding the videocamera in one hand and weapon in the other. Nightvision shots, CQC (close-quarters combat), etc. All set to Metallica's Seek and Destroy and White Zombie's Thunderkiss. Said they all wore walkmans with their battle gear so they could get "pumped up" before missions by listening to the appropriate "motivational music." Jeez, I feel almost sorry for the people they faced. Poor bastards never knew what kind of hell was about to drop out of those helicopters.

I'd forgotten how much I'd liked the Presidents of the United States. Haven't heard it in years but I immediately recalled all of the words, good musical choice.
I'm guessing that is from an HDPE event. Looks like pretty heavy traffic compared what I'm used to seeing in the the Midwest but it may have been that the editting just happened to use clips with cars lined up in front and behind.

Yeah, i try to avoid the mainstream music of the time (ie. white stripes, linkin park)
stuff that makes you smile is what i aim for or accompanies the video really well.

yes, you are right on both accounts.
There were times when it was just me, the 350z, and the miata chasing each other. Other times, there was a 6 or 7 cars. However, since we were all running the advanced group, it worked out really well, since everyone knew where everyone else was or was going to be (in terms of passing).
Passing was done everywhere (in the turns, straights, braking zones, etc) and everyone knew to either give some room or take some room.
The best open track event i've ever been to.

I dig it. Lighthearted, fun music for a lighthearted, fun event.
Metal just doesn't work for me when you're not running into something, cartwheeling down an embankment or getting into a fight.
The in-car shots of you used a cool angle; let me see what you were doing.

That's just it, I guess, for me. I kinda look at w-t-w as a fight. I think it was one of the writers for GRM who wrote a few years ago about autocrossing and the differences between it and w-t-w. To paraphrase, he said autox is a real skill sport, requiring concentration, precision, and finesse. W-T-W, on the other hand, is like a knife fight.
However, I hope to keep "running into stuff and cartwheeling" down anything completely out of the picture.

Gotta post up in here cause Driven always makes cool vids, and I wanna download it when I get home
besides, the Presidents of the United States of America rock!
"Little Dune Buggy" would have worked also...that would be hilarious.

A couple of nominations for cool song to accompany a racing video (read: what tunes I might set mine to if I ever get my busted *** POS computer and capture software to actually work together):
"Jerry was a racecar driver" - Primus
"Going the distance" - Cake

I thought of that one earlier...
Me, who's going to see Primus live for the first time in, like, 7 years.
